Sioux City’s Small Business Saturday is a joint effort between the U.S. Small Business Association, Women Impacting Public Policy, American Express, and our town’s own Downtown Partners. It encourages residents of the greater Sioux City area to do their holiday shopping at the mom and pop businesses which offer gainful employment to fellow Iowans, as well as pay taxes that go directly toward the salaries of school teachers, first responders, sanitation workers, and all the other professionals who make Siouxland the best place in the world to call home.
This year’s Small Business Saturday will be held on November 25th. Whether you choose to observe it by patronizing Sioux City’s outstanding bars, restaurants or retailers, you can take pride knowing that you’re directly benefiting the local economy – instead of giving your money to hedge fund managers who may not be able to find Iowa on a map!
